Joanne Betty Conlon

Betty studied Fine Art Printmaking at the Limerick School of Art & Design, where she also discovered a love for photography. As he art practice evolved she knew it was essential to have an online presence.

Objectives

Betty's initial objective was to establish an online presence to showcase her art and photography while remaining simple and efficient to manage. She also aimed to create an e-commerce platform to make her artwork accessible to a broader audience. Today, she has successfully achieved these goals, maintaining a cohesive digital presence and operating a fully functional online shop that showcases and sells her art.

Our approach

Development

We built the site using Craft CMS, a robust yet intuitive platform that allows seamless content management. This setup enabled Betty to upload her images, sound files, videos and organise her projects effortlessly. Later, we enhanced the site by integrating Craft Commerce, adding an online shop to provide a valuable revenue stream for her artistic practice.

Performance

The website delivered a smooth user experience, combining aesthetic appeal with functionality. Craft CMS ensured flexibility for content updates, while Craft Commerce allowed secure and efficient transactions. The platform scaled well as Betty’s portfolio and offerings grew

Results

Since launching her website, Betty has exhibited her work across Ireland and the UK, crediting her professional online presence as a key factor in opening new opportunities, including exhibitions and sales. The integrated shop continues to support her artistic career financially and provides a foundation for future growth.
